Attendance
We are committed to raising attendance levels and reducing lateness in order to ensure pupils at the school have the maximum opportunity to thrive and learn within the school.
Support
Our Family & Community Manager, Dawn Shaw, can work with parents who are struggling with maintaining high levels of attendance for their children. Please make an appointment if you wish to discuss the issue further with her. If, as a school, we are concerned about your child's attendance level, we may request a meeting with you, to see how we can support you in improving their attendance.
Unauthorised Absence
In line with KCC policy, we expect pupils to attend school every day when the school is open and they are well. Where there are more than 5 days/ 10 sessions unauthorised absence in a 50 day period, we may request a penalty notice. Penalty Notices are issued by KCC to each parent of each child and the amount of the penalty will be £120 to be paid within 28 days, reduced to £60 if paid within 21 days. Failure to pay the penalty in full at the end of the 28 day period may result in prosecution by the Attendance Service.
More information regarding attendance at Cranbrook CE Primary can be found in our Attendance Booklet below and in our Attendance Policy on our Policies page.
