Our vision is underpinned by this Biblical passage:
Light of the World
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven".
(Matthew 5, v14-16)

Our Vision Explained...
Each member of our school community is a lamp that can shine out into our school, their home, community and wider world. Our school is the ‘town on a hill’ in our community; through all we do we strive to act as a beacon of hope, help and support to whoever may need it.
God’s children
We are all children of God and are unique and special. We celebrate the diversity of our children and their God given talents that allow them to develop as individuals who can show God’s light to others through these means.
Shining through good works
Jesus says that we can be the world’s light. We have golden rules in school which underpin the importance of showing love, care and respect to others. These good deeds include our character, our conduct, our actions and our words. We believe each of our children are capable of good deeds and have unlimited potential to shine out in their school and wider community, to show God’s love and grace to others: ‘Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky’ (Philippians, 2:15).
Celebrating our light
Our values are woven into our vision and are threaded throughout our curriculum, ethos and school community. We provide a learning environment that empowers children with the resilience, confidence and mindset to overcome challenges they are faced with in order to be the best they can be.
